A 13-year-old girl in Hong Kong has been arrested after she allegedly attacked a classmate with a 30cm-long (12 inch) knife at a school in Tuen Mun.
Police said the girl brandished the knife as she confronted another pupil, also aged 13, who was sitting in front of her during class at around 3.50pm on Thursday.
The victim sustained multiple knife wounds to his right shoulder, back and arm.
He was taken to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment, where he was in a stable condition.
The suspect and victim were classmates in Secondary Two and were believed to have had an argument over a trivial matter before the attack, a police source said.
Two sources confirmed the pupils attended CCC Hoh Fuk Tong College, a subsidised school.
