An unemployed man, who threw glass bottles at the residence of gaming tycoon Stanley Ho Hung-sun’s daughter Laurinda Ho Chiu-lin to get her attention, was jailed for seven days by a Hong Kong court on Friday.
The Eastern Court heard Cui Yanqi, 28, came to Hong Kong from the mainland with the purpose of meeting the young heiress.
He visited her residence at Black’s Link in Happy Valley, after entering Hong Kong via a two-way permit on Tuesday.
Laurinda Ho’s Nepali security guard first spotted the Henan native at around 1.20am on Thursday. The guard then kept watch on Cui through a surveillance camera as he was roaming around suspiciously outside the property.
Ten minutes later, Cui was seen throwing a glass bottle through the rear gate, which landed on a glass panel forming a car park shelter and damaged it.
At around 2am, he threw another bottle through the main gate, damaging a plastic film.
The repairs will cost HK$11,000 (US$1,400).
