‘Hong Kong Summer Viva’ campaign heats up with new offers to boost tourism
Tourism Board unveils additions to campaign including dining and tourist attractions as available offers increase from 150 to more than 260

The Hong Kong Tourism Board has ramped up its summer campaign by increasing the number of available offers and discounts to more than 260 to encourage spending among tourists and locals amid a slow economy.
The board on Tuesday unveiled new additions to the campaign, which include buy one, get one free offers on set dinners or a la carte dishes from renowned Cantonese restaurants, early-bird discounts for family-friendly facilities, and deals from various tourist attractions, as well as offers for popular fast-food items.
More than 100 hotels would continue to provide buy one, get one free buffet lunches or dinners, alongside accommodation discounts, it said.
The board said the campaign, initially launched in the second half of June in collaboration with local businesses, had garnered overwhelming support. It added that the number of offers and discounts available on its “Hong Kong Summer Viva” website had grown from 150 to more than 260.
“Most of the offers and discounts are available for collection or redemption until August 31,” the board said, urging locals and visitors to enjoy value-added fun on top of their summertime experience.

In addition to the new deals, a second batch of 50 “Complimentary Early Park Entry Passes” from Hong Kong Disneyland Resort will be available for collection at noon on Wednesday, as part of its 20th-anniversary celebrations.
