More South Asians stealing into HK
Police have intercepted more than 100 South Asians attempting to steal into the city in the past two months as nine more were caught in Lau Fau Shan, Yuen Long on Friday last week. The nine, aged between 24 and 49, got onshore from an eight-metre-long sampan and made non-refoulement claims upon their arrests. It is estimated that about 1,000 such people have managed to steal into the city this way every year, and some of them have committed crimes and are working for gangsters during their stay.

Mainland surrogate firms reaching out to same sex groups in HK
Some mainland surrogate motherhood service agencies are reportedly expanding to Hong Kong, targeting homosexual couples in particular. A spokeswoman for the Women Coalition of HKSAR, a local homosexual group in the city, said a mainland company of this kind had approached them and wanted to sponsor their rallies and protests as a way of promotion. She also said a similar company from Japan had tried to talk to her to better understand the demand for such services in Hong Kong.
