A creepy way to make a living? Snakes, a model and an actress live on stage together
A rare snake stars in Tsim Sha Tsui celebration to mark the year of the snake
What do an actress, a model and snakes have in common?
Usually very little, except when it is near the start of the year of the snake.
The Sun Arcade in Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong brought together two beauties and some rare reptiles to mark next month's start of the Chinese new year.
Snake expert Alan Fung described the star of the show, Elaphe Climacophora, as an extremely rare white snake found in Japan. The chance of this mutation of the species occurring was about one in 3 million, he said.
Neither the actress, TVB's Jeanette Leung Ching Kok, nor Scottish model Emma Wainwright, seemed to enjoy the experience of having snakes crawl over them. But like true professionals they soldiered on.
Meanwhile, as video reporter Stephen Quinn shows, the media and the public enjoyed the spectacle.
