Chinese internet tycoon Liu Qiangdong ties knot with Sister Milk Tea

Richard Liu Qiangdong, founder and chairman of Chinese ecommerce platform JD.com, and Internet celebrity Zhang Zetian reportedly tied the knot in Beijing over the weekend, after photos of their marriage certificates emerged online.

Liu, in a white shirt, and Zhang, in a white dress, were shown in a photo reading their marriage vows in a civil affairs bureau in Beijing, both smiling happily.

Leo Ou Chen, CEO of Jumei.com, congratulated the couple on his Weibo account.

Liu’s love affair with Zhang has generated a lot of interest on social media sites after the two started to dating each other early last year.

Zhang, 22, is known as “Sister Milk Tea” after a photo of her drinking a cup of tea went viral online in 2009.

Liu, 41, took Zhang back to his hometown in Jiangsu province during the Spring Festival this year, where he handed out 10,000-yuan (HK$12,500) bundles of cash in red envelopes to seniors above the age of 60.
