Beijing subway train leaves station with doors still open
Passengers describe shock at safety incident on the capital's Line 13
Passengers on a Beijing subway line were shocked when their train left the station with the several of its doors still open, the Beijing Morning Post reported.
At least three doors stayed open for about six minutes after the Line 13 train departed from Wudaokou station towards Dongzhimen on Friday night, it said.
Passengers were quick to move away from the open doors when the train began to move, while some held tightly onto poles in the carriages.
“I was just standing by the door. It scared me to death,” a passenger told the newspaper. “Everybody reacted quickly and ran away from the doors. The train didn’t go very fast, nobody was hurt and nothing fell off of the train,” she said.
