India said last month it will resume accepting Chinese tourist visa applications for the first time in five years, amid an improvement in bilateral ties.
Its embassy in Beijing said applicants can book an appointment to submit required documents in the capital, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.

Era Tours and Travels, for instance, has already engaged Chinese content creators to promote its services and India’s tourist destinations on social media.

“We invite them, take them around to Buddhist sites, and see what impact that has on tourism. Various initiatives on the government’s part are also taking place,” said JS Nayal, director of the New Delhi-based tour agency.
