Webb hails from Phoenix, Arizona, where she grew up in a humble household. She also spent some time in Oklahoma City. Her mother was a metalhead, and her best friend’s parents introduced her to the punk subculture in her early teens. That’s when she became interested in fashion and alternative forms of self-expression.
“I always struggled in school because I was the kid who took risks,” she told The Cut. “I really wanted to use my visual appearance as a sort of identity and escapism.”
