The Scottish actor is married to Saoirse Ronan and has appeared in films including Dunkirk and Mary Queen of Scots – but will he succeed Daniel Craig?
Gary Oldman recently revealed in an interview with Canada’s Global that the next 007 has already been cast. While Oldman’s connection to the James Bond franchise is a mystery, the Oscar-winning actor went on to say that he had his fingers crossed for his Slow Horses co-star Jack Lowden to take over as the Omega-wearing spy from the most recent Bond, Daniel Craig.

“It’s been rumored that he’s on the shortlist. We’re going to find out pretty soon, aren’t we? Because they have picked him. They have made their choice, but they have not announced it yet. So my fingers are crossed for Jack,” Oldman said.
