Meet Michael Kelly, who plays Byron in Taylor Sheridan’s Lioness

The third season of Lioness is available on Paramount+, with episodes releasing every Sunday until September 20. At present, the season boasts an 85 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Created by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan, the highly anticipated series features a star-studded cast including Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman and Morgan Freeman.

Among these established actors is four-time Emmy nominee Michael Kelly, 57, who plays CIA deputy director for operations Byron Westfield in the spy thriller. Kelly has said his character is quite different from who he is in real life. “I always play these guys who never smile. And I never stop smiling myself. So it’s kind of funny,” he told V13 Media. “For me, it’s a change.”
