Jenna Ortega’s recent appearance in a video interview with Esquire magazine has raised public concern over the Wednesday actress’ health.


Esquire’s video, published last week, saw its comment section filled with users debating Ortega’s physique: “Why is everyone in Hollywood suddenly turning into skeletons?” one user wrote. Another commented, “Wow, Hollywood unhealthily skinny strikes another great actor. Please get better Jenna!”
Several commenters compared Ortega’s transformation to Ariana Grande, who recently announced she was taking “a step back from visibility” after facing relentless public scrutiny over her physical appearance.
The attention on Ortega’s weight prompted one fan to come to her defence in a lengthy Instagram post, writing: “I think everyone should mind their own business and leave @jennaortega alone, especially after her recent interview has created so many questions and assumptions about her health. She doesn’t owe anyone an explanation; her life is her life, and her body belongs to her.”

The actress’ younger sister, Aliyah Ortega, seemingly agreed with the message and left a comment with three exclamation points under the post.

Aliyah Ortega and her twin brother Markus were born in 2004 to Edward and Natalie Ortega. They are the youngest of the six Ortega bunch, which also includes older brother Isaac and sisters Mariah, Mia and Jenna.
Aliyah and her five siblings were raised in Coachella Valley in Southern California, where their father is a businessman and their mother works as an accident and emergency nurse.
Growing up in a Puerto Rican and Mexican-American household, the Ortega siblings grew up bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English at home.
What does Aliyah Ortega study?

Aliyah attended La Quinta High School and graduated summa cum laude in 2022, alongside her twin brother.
Unlike her sister Jenna, who pursued a path in Hollywood, Aliyah is following in her mother’s footsteps and studying at California State University, Long Beach to become a nurse. Her other sister, Mia, also graduated from MiraCosta College’s nursing programme.
Aliyah has a TikTok page with 1.8 million followers and regularly shares “Day in the Life” videos as a nursing student.

Based on her Instagram profile, Aliyah Ortega seems to be in a relationship with Diego Garcia. The young couple attended Coachella together in April and enjoyed a holiday in Ireland last month.
