What is Dave Annable’s background?
David Rodman Annable was born September 15, 1979, in Suffern, New York. He was raised by a Jewish mother and a father of English, German, Irish and French descent. Annable attended the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, where he joined the student-run station, Plattsburgh State Television. The actor said in 2009 that he had an “amazing” experience with the station before going into the “real world”, per Cardinal Points, the university’s newspaper.
Annable dropped out one semester before his graduation, much to his mother’s disappointment, to move to New York City to pursue his acting career. There, he studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. The actor had promised his mother he would return to complete his degree at some point, which he finally did in 2009, after taking distance-learning classes.
