Keen Ruffalo was born on June 19, 2001. He is the oldest of Mark Ruffalo and Sunrise Coigney’s three children, with two younger sisters, Bella and Odette.

Keen and his siblings were raised outside the glamour of Hollywood in New York, although they have made red-carpet appearances to support their father. Keen was also spotted at Dior’s cruise show in Los Angeles in May.

Despite having famous parents, Keen began his acting career with small roles. He was an extra, credited as “Keen”, in Begin Again (2013) starring his father and Keira Knightley, and had an uncredited role in Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok (2017) as a Sakaaran citizen.
It was not until recently that Keen began flexing his acting chops. The young actor was cast in Stan’s 2025 television series Hal & Harper, which stars his father and Lili Reinhart. He also appeared in an episode of HBO Max’s Task, which his father both produced and acted in, and features in the Green Day-inspired film Nimrods, opposite Mckenna Grace, Mason Thames and Jenna Fischer, which will be released next week in the US.

Acting was not always on the cards for Keen. He was 12 when his father asked him if he wanted to be an extra on a film set, per WWD. When the father-son duo watched the film at its premiere, Keen said he decided he did not want to become an actor after seeing himself on the big screen.
