Katie Holmes appears to be getting back on the dating scene. The Dawson’s Creek actress, 47, was recently spotted in East Hampton, New York, with a new beau at a screening of Olivia Wilde’s latest movie, The Invite.

An eyewitness told People that Holmes arrived at the event venue hand in hand with a man who was “whispering in her ear”, and that the actress was laughing. The onlooker went on to say that Holmes had “a smile on her face all night” while the two sat together during the screening, with the actress resting her head on the man’s shoulder at one point. The pair was later seen stepping out for a stroll around the Big Apple.
Holmes’ new man has since been identified as Jason Bard Yarmosky, a New York-based artist who is nine years younger than the actress. This is Holmes’ first public romance since 2022, when she and musician Bobby Wooten III split up after dating for about eight months.

What does Jason Bard Yarmosky do?

Jason Bard Yarmosky was born in 1987, in New York. The 38-year-old has gravitated towards the arts since he was young, when he began drawing, as he shared on his Instagram. He graduated with a bachelor of fine arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 2010.
He currently lives in the famous Double Diamond house on Long Island, a mid-century modern icon built in 1959 by architect Andrew Geller, according to The New York Times. The house had offered him solace after he moved in following the passing of his grandparents, he said in a 2021 interview with The New York Times. “I’ve been able to deal with loss and my grief in a space that doesn’t pressure me,” he said.
His grandparents were his muses

Yarmosky is known for his paintings and drawings, which centre on themes of ageing, time and memory – subjects he has been fascinated with since he was young, according to his online bio.
His grandparents, whom he had a close relationship with, had been the muses of his work for over 10 years. One of his earliest pieces, “Trick or Treaters” (2013), features his grandmother in bunny ears, while his grandfather dons a Batman costume. “I have a great time with my grandparents, and I learn so much from them. They’ve already lived the life we’re going through right now,” he told Artnet in 2013.
Unfortunately, Yarmosky lost his grandmother to Alzheimer’s disease in 2018, and his grandfather to illness in 2020.

Yarmosky’s art has been showcased and collected internationally, with his paintings and drawings exhibited at institutions such as the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Yellowstone Art Museum, and the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. His gallery exhibitions span across New York City, Los Angeles, Paris and Brussels. His most recent exhibition, “Time Has Many Faces”, was held from January to April this year.

Holmes and Yarmosky first met at a dinner at the Tribeca Festival in New York City last month, and have been spending time together since, an insider told TMZ on Wednesday.
Holmes’ past relationships were with more high-profile names, including Jamie Foxx, Joshua Jackson, and most notably, Tom Cruise, whom she married in 2006 and divorced six years later. The pair share a daughter, Suri Noelle, who turned 20 in April.
