Netflix’s romantic drama series Virgin River premiered its seventh instalment on March 12. The show, which was inspired by Robyn Carr’s novels and first aired in December 2019, follows the story of Melinda “Mel” Monroe, a nurse practitioner who moves to Virgin River, a small town in Northern California, from Los Angeles after losing her husband.

Mel, played by Alexandra Breckenridge, finds new love with local bar owner Jack Sheridan and starts a new life with him. In past seasons, we saw Mel and Jack struggle to conceive. The new season, for those who have yet to watch it, sees the couple navigate new pains and even a tragic death.
