The cinemas have been packed with fans of the Scream franchise ever since Scream 7 landed on the silver screen. The new instalment, starring Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Isabel May, Mckenna Grace, Matthew Lillard, Anna Camp and more, opened domestically to US$64.1 million and enjoyed a worldwide opening of US$97.2 million, per Deadline. The opening numbers have reportedly never been this high for a film in the famed franchise. In fact, it is said to be the most successful opening for a horror film Paramount has ever had.

In addition to the success of Scream 7, Camp – who plays Jessica Bowden in the film – is also celebrating a major personal milestone. During an appearance on the podcast I’ve Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario, the 43-year-old came out as bisexual. “I am very proud of myself for owning my sexuality at this age,” she said, speaking further about her strength for making this announcement publicly despite potential judgment. “I only get one life, and I want to be happy,” she added.
