Years after a college admissions cheating scandal turned Felicity Huffman’s and her daughter Sophia Grace Macy’s lives upside down, the latter is back in the spotlight. The 25-year-old, whose father is actor William H. Macy, recently turned heads at the New York premiere of HBO Max’s Rooster.

The actress will be playing Ronni on the show, sharing the screen with The Office (US) star Steve Carell. The series, which explores the complexities of a father-daughter bond, premieres on March 8.

Sophia Grace Macy was born in August 2000. Unfortunately, her mother faced some difficulties after giving birth, telling the Los Angeles Times that she “did not enter into motherhood with any sense of equanimity or grace”. The Desperate Housewives star further described her experience with parenting as “moving from mistake to mistake, sleep-deprived forever”.

Huffman and her husband welcomed another daughter, Georgia Grace Macy, in March 2002. The sisters grew up away from the world of showbiz, per People. “They didn’t even watch television until Sophia broke her collarbone trying to do a handstand,” the Emmy-winning actress told the outlet. “We put her in front of the TV, and she started watching movies for the first time.”
