The fourth season of hit reality TV show The Traitors has ended, with Rob Rausch crowned as the winner. The 27-year-old snake wrangler earned heartthrob status on the show – but revealed at the reunion that he’s taken. This was shocking to many, including host Andy Cohen, especially considering Rausch’s chemistry with his Traitors co-star Maura Higgins, for whom he bought an Hermès Birkin bag after the show, reports JustJared.


The Dancing on Ice alum revealed Rausch had promised to gift her the handbag, and he followed through with a little help from Lisa Rinna. The Love Island USA star even admitted to flirting with Higgins. However, his heart actually belongs to a mystery woman whom he has reportedly been dating since December 2025, per People.
So, who is Rob Rausch?
What’s Rob Rausch’s background?

Rausch was born on September 1, 1998, and hails from Florence, Alabama, where he grew up on his family farm, per GQ. He received his childhood education from his mother, who home-schooled him, per The Cut.
His father is renowned photographer, luxury designer and artist, Robert Rausch Sr, who founded GAS Design Centre. He also teaches art at the University of North Alabama, which Rob Jr attended as a photography major but dropped out of, per The Cut.
Rausch has three siblings – a brother and two sisters, and he is the third oldest. “I would drag my brother out to the middle of the woods, and we’d build forts and boats,” he told GQ. Rausch runs a fashion brand with his sister, Lily, called Creek Rat.
His rise to fame

Rausch started catching snakes when he was four, per The Cut, and turned it into a career with the company, Rausch Reptile Removal, reports GQ. He also shares snake-wrangling content on social media, and has built a considerable following online.

Rausch rose to mainstream prominence after appearing in seasons five and six of Love Island USA and even starred in music videos for Dasha’s “Like It Like That” and Nessa Barrett’s “Passenger Princess”. In 2025, he was in the film Maintenance Required. He decided to join The Traitors after initially rejecting the offer multiple times, per GQ.
What are his hobbies?

Rausch is a man of many talents. You may have noticed on The Traitors that he’s a chess player. According to The Cut, he also enjoys wakeboarding, snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, photography and riding his motorcycle. He makes RC planes and has a woodworking project in progress for his girlfriend, can sing, and plays the piano. If that isn’t impressive enough, he’s also making his own home in Florence and aspires to be a firefighter. He’s currently into basketball and board games, he told Interview magazine.
