Rodriguez called the Netflix series “very poignant” and “very relevant to today’s world”, commending real-life journalists who are “trying to get the truth out there and risking it all”.
She also gave fans a sneak peek into Lioness season three, which she has been filming. “When you saw [Carrillo], she was kind of this outsider who wasn’t accepted by the QRF [Quick Reaction Force], and now she’s a part of the team,” the actress teased. “Obviously, there is the whole Crusie [referring to Rodriguez’s Josie and Laysla De Oliveira’s Cruz Manuelos] situation happening. And that Crusie is still cruising!”
