What could be more romantic than a Valentine’s Day wedding? Stranger Things star Maya Hawke, daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend, Christian Lee Hutson, on February 14 in New York City, reports People. It was a star-studded affair attended by both her famous parents as well as the cast of Stranger Things, including Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery.

The 27-year-old actress and her musician husband, 35, went from friends to lovers and sparked engagement rumours in 2025 when Hawke was spotted wearing a ring, per People. During an appearance on the Zach Sang Show, she gushed over her “awesome” relationship, telling fans, “I cannot recommend highly enough dating your friends. It’s the best.”

Hutson, born on November 5, 1990, hails from Kansas City, Missouri. After his parents split, he moved to Los Angeles, California, to live with his mother and stepfather, while his biological father stayed in the Midwest, per music magazine The Line of Best Fit. He has primarily obsessional obsessive-compulsive disorder, he told Flood Magazine.

Hutson originally aspired to be a novelist, but he developed a passion for music after his parents gifted him a guitar when he was 12, he told The Line of Best Fit. He eventually dropped out of school with the support of his father, who he described as “anti-establishment”. One of his first musical influences was country-folk musician John Prine, he revealed in an interview with art and entertainment publication Scene+Heard.
