The lesbian Puerto Rican rising star, who released her debut album Att. in 2024, is a former footballer who got her musical start on SoundCloud

Puerto Rican rapper, singer and songwriter Young Miko joined her long-time collaborator Bad Bunny on stage for his headlining performance at the Super Bowl halftime show. While not singing alongside the Grammy winner, Young Miko was spotted dancing in La Casita set alongside artists including Cardi B, Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal and Karol G.

Often referred to as the female Bad Bunny, the 28-year-old rapper has made a name for herself with hit songs such as “Likey Likey” and “Wassup”, and by appearing on Bad Bunny’s 2023 single “Fina”.

She’s a former footballer

Born María Victoria Ramírez de Arellano Cardona, Young Miko grew up in Añasco, Puerto Rico. She played on the Puerto Rican women’s national football team between the ages of 13 and 18. She also did karate, and played tennis, ping-pong and basketball growing up, per Uproxx.

Yet, despite being a natural athlete, Young Miko’s true love was music.

She went to university to please her parents
