The fifth season of Emily in Paris has just come to an end, but fans still can’t get enough. The latest instalment saw our titular protagonist romance Eugenio Franceschini’s Marcello while Lucas Bravo’s Gabriel yearns for her from a distance. By the end of the season though, Emily is single again, leaving fans wondering who she’ll end up with next.

Besides Emily’s love triangle, the new season offered up some major drama with Luc, Emily’s womanising French colleague and friend at Agence Grateau. The fan-favourite character, played by Bruno Gouery, is usually the source of much-needed comic relief on the show – and season five was no exception. “With the character of Luc, I think the writers want to always … give something more funny, comical, humorous,” the actor told Tudum.

According to an interview Gouery gave to Eclair Magazine, he was born in July 1975 to a Norman chemist father and an Italian accountant mother in France. He is trilingual, speaking French, Italian and English.
Gouery spent his childhood in the suburbs of Paris and drew artistic inspiration from the “large and colourful” Italian side of his family. His first brush with comedy was through his grandfather and uncles. “It was through their contact and by observing them that I began my first performances,” he told Eclair.
Gouery studied history but did not pursue a career in that field.
