It’s a great time to be a romance fan. The Crave original series, Heated Rivalry, starring Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie as rival ice hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, is taking over the internet. In the show, which is based on Rachel Reid’s beloved Game Changers novel series, the two characters face off in play – but cannot help the magnetic attraction they feel for each other off the ice.
But what about the lead actors’ personal lives? As the show’s popularity grows, fans are growing more curious. In an interview with Xtra magazine, Storrie shared that the ever-changing aspect of acting is something that “bleeds into” his real life.
When the interviewer asked the actors whether they felt the need to address speculation about their sexualities, the show’s creator, Jacob Tierney, shut down the question. “I don’t think there’s any reason to get into that stuff,” he said. “You can’t ask questions like that when you’re casting, right? It’s actually against the law.”
In another interview with Out Magazine, Storrie shared that he enjoyed doing Rozanov’s Russian accent and filming in Canada.

He grew up doing gymnastics and got into bodybuilding shortly before landing his role in Heated Rivalry. “I go through a ton of phases,” he told Xtra magazine, adding that he was also vegan for three years.
