Meet the couple who just had a ‘billionaire wedding’, Netra Mantena and Vamsi Gadiraju – J.Lo and Donald Trump Jr were present too

After the lavish US$600 million wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in 2024, which saw stars like Rihanna, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber performing at the pre-wedding celebrations, another big Indian wedding is taking over the internet.

Meet Netra Mantena and Vamsi Gadiraju, who wed in Udaipur, India, last month and went viral for their festivities. Though reportedly a hundred times smaller than the Ambani wedding, Mantena and Gadiraju’s union – touted as a “billionaire wedding” – was nonetheless extravagant.

The pre-wedding mehendi ceremony included a rare performance by Bollywood legend Madhuri Dixit and Cirque du Soleil at the Taj Lake Palace. Actress Dia Mirza served as host for the night.

Another pre-wedding function, the sangeet, was hosted by Indian filmmaker Karan Johar at the Zenana Mahal, and came alive with performances by Bollywood stars like Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. The event was attended by Donald Trump Jr and his girlfriend, Bettina Anderson, among other famous faces.

The wedding ceremony took place at the Jagmandir Island Palace on November 23, with the bride turning heads in a stunning red Sabyasachi lehenga. Later, at the couple’s wedding reception, Jennifer Lopez had guests dancing the night away.

According to Page Six, the singer charged a whopping US$2 million for her performance, where she belted out hits like “Get on the Floor” and “Save Me Tonight”.
