The 26-year-old LGBTQ actor starred in Girl Meets World with Sabrina Carpenter and is BFFs with Conan Gray – so what else has he been in?
Corey Fogelmanis may be garnering attention for his recent coming-of-age movie, I Wish You All the Best, and his connection to pop stars Sabrina Carpenter and Conan Gray, but OG Disney fans know the actor from his days as the fan-favourite Farkle Minkus on the channel’s 2014 sitcom, Girl Meets World. He also plays Nathan on Netflix’s My Life with the Walter Boys, which has been likened to Amazon Prime’s hit The Summer I Turned Pretty, for its love triangle plotline involving two brothers.

Fogelmanis stars in Tommy Dorfman’s directorial debut, I Wish You All The Best, as Ben, a 16-year-old high-schooler who goes to live with their sister and her husband, played by Alexandra Daddario and Cole Sprouse, after coming out as non-binary and being thrown out of the house by their parents. The film also stars Lena Dunham as a teacher at Ben’s new school.

The film – adapted from Mason Deaver’s young adult novel of the same name – premiered on November 7, and has received glowing reviews from critics with an 83 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer.

Fogelmanis was born in August 1999, in Thousand Oaks, California, USA. The actor first realised his desire to become an actor when he did community theatre as a kid. “It was just going somewhere every day and getting to be a tiny little cog in this whole thing we would make,” Fogelmanis said in an interview with Teen Vogue in September.

He made his screen debut with a role in the 2011 fantasy short film, The Maiden and the Princess, and starred in various roles before landing the role of Farkle in GirlMeets World, where he would become friends with Sabrina Carpenter, who played the role of Maya Hart on the show. The two remained good pals after the show, with Carpenter even attending the I Wish You All the Best New York premiere in October.
