Irish actor Anthony Boyle, who plays the lead role of Arthur Guinness in Netflix’s House of Guinness, is the internet’s latest heartthrob.
The Belfast-born actor, 31, plays the eldest Guinness sibling and heir to the Irish brewing empire. The show premiered on September 25 and follows the story of the Guinness empire and its four heirs following the death of the family patriarch, Benjamin Guinness. His riveting performance has won accolades – but it’s a certain bath scene that has fans gasping.
Now, the actor is said to be in the running for the lead role in the next James Bond film alongside names like Henry Cavill, Theo James, Callum Turner and Tom Holland.

He was wheelchair bound as a child

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 1994, Boyle had a bone condition that left him wheelchair bound during his formative years. In an interview with Hello! magazine, the 31-year-old said that instead of playing sports like other children, he would watch his friends and older brother play, studying their body language and making up dialogue for them.
He became an award-winning actor

When he was 16 years old, the actor was expelled from his school for reasons he has yet to divulge, but by then the avid cinephile had already made up his mind about going into acting. He began to audition and landed several roles for “the worst productions you’ve ever seen”, he told Hello!
