Meet Arthur Chen, the Chinese actor who turned heads at Paris Fashion Week’s Balenciaga show

The rising C-drama star was featured in a campaign alongside Nicole Kidman, and has also worked with Dior and Tissot
The Chinese star embodied edgy sophistication in a leather jacket over a plain black tee and jeans, chunky boots and a chic pair of shades, turning heads wherever he went.

He’s a nepo baby

Arthur Chen, aka Chen Feiyu, is the son of Chen Kaige and Chen Hong. For those who may not know, Chen Kaige is one of the most celebrated directors in China, best known for his film Farewell My Concubine (1993), which won him the Palme d’Or, a Bafta and a Golden Globe. Arthur’s mother, Chen Hong, is a prominent actress and producer who collaborated with her husband on works like The Promise (2005) and Forever Enthralled (2008).
Arthur was born in the US but maintains only Chinese citizenship. He studied at a boarding school in Massachusetts and also went to Beijing Jingshan School. He later graduated from the Beijing Film Academy.
