Netflix’s new thriller series, Wayward, is a hit.
The storyline follows a school for troubled teens and its creepily charming founder, Evelyn Wade, played by Hereditary actress Toni Collette.
The show has been dominating the streaming platform, and it currently holds the No 1 spot on the global top 10 list.

The eight-episode series premiered on September 25 and stars the show’s creator Mae Martin as Alex Dempsey, a small-town police officer who investigates the school.
While Netflix has yet to announce plans for a possible renewal, Martin has expressed their eagerness to create another season.

Speaking to TV Insider, the 38-year-old said, “I was told it was a miniseries, but there’s definitely more story to tell, I think. We left all those characters in crisis, basically.”
