Meet the parents of Vogue editor Chloe Malle: actress Candice Bergen and French filmmaker Louis Malle

Malle made the controversial Pretty Baby starring Brooke Shields, while Bergen won awards for her role in sitcom Murphy Brown – she also once dated Donald Trump

American Vogue has since announced that Chloe Malle, 39, has been appointed to succeed Wintour, who will remain Vogue’s global editorial director and chief content officer at Condé Nast. Malle, the new head of editorial content, has worked at the magazine for over a decade as the editor of Vogue’s website and co-host of its podcast, The Run-Through.
Chloe is the daughter of actress Candice Bergen and filmmaker Louis Malle. She has said that despite her influential Hollywood connections, and that while she’s a “proud nepo-baby”, the status has made her career more difficult.

“There is no question that I have 100 per cent benefited from the privilege I grew up in,” she told Vogue in a recent interview. “It’s delusional to say otherwise. I will say, though, that it has always made me work much harder. It has been a goal for a lot of my life to prove that I’m more than Candice Bergen’s daughter, or someone who grew up in Beverly Hills.”
Here’s everything to know about Chloe Malle’s parents.
Candice Bergen is an award-winning actress

Bergen won five Emmy awards and two Golden Globes for her titular role in CBS’ hit sitcom, Murphy Brown, which ran from 1988 to 1998.
