Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former journalist Lauren Sánchez’s three-day wedding is well under way, despite pushback from Venice protesters that prompted a last-minute change of venue. The ceremony is rumoured to be taking place on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore today, June 27, with around 200 A-list guests expected to attend.

Here’s what the high-profile guests wore yesterday, on the first day of the lavish celebrations.

The bride was spotted wearing a gold corset dress by Schiaparelli, leaving the luxurious Aman hotel with her soon-to-be husband. The tech mogul kept it simple with a charcoal suit and Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses.

Meanwhile, Ivanka Trump wore a sequinned cherry-blossom dress by Oscar de la Renta that retails for US$9,990. She arrived with her husband Jared Kushner, who wore a navy suit.

Model Vittoria Ceretti boarded her taxi boat in a long, neutral-toned dress with a textured look and elaborate stitching, as well as floral details on one strap.

Next to Ceretti, Indian businesswoman Natasha Poonawalla was eye-catching in a red gown adorned with giant hearts from AZ Factory’s 2022 tribute to Alber Elbaz collection.
