  • Princess Leonor of Spain, Princess Maria Chiara, Duchess of Noto, and Prince Christian of Denmark all turned 18 this year, marking huge turning points in their public royal lives
  • Count Nikolai of Monpezat has modelled for Dior and Burberry, Princess Maria-Olympia has walked for Dolce & Gabbana, and Lady Amelia Windsor sits front row at Miu Miu and Tommy Hilfiger shows

The world may be all too familiar with members of the British royal family thanks to shows like Netflix’s The Crown and the ongoing saga between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William and Kate Middleton – but they’re certainly not the only ones worth noting – especially in the style stakes.

When the future queen of Spain turned 18 this past October, the world watched as Princess Leonor swore loyalty to her nation and was applauded by fans for her graceful speech. The firstborn daughter of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia became heir to the throne after her father was proclaimed the current king in 2014, per her official biography.

She’s already been hailed a fashionista for her stylish and elegant ensembles, but is also considered a symbol of female empowerment, having been dubbed the “royal G.I. Jane” for enrolling at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza in Northern Spain, according to British media.

2. Princess Maria Chiara, Duchess of Noto, 18
