The star, who won a Golden Globe award for best actor in a television drama for his role in ‘Bodyguard’, is tipped as a contender to be the next James Bond

You may remember him from Game of Thrones’ Red Wedding or perhaps you only became a fan of him from his stellar performance in the BBC television drama Bodyguard, but it seems Scottish actor Richard Madden is here to stay.

As one of Hollywood’s latest hot commodities, with his Golden Globe award for best actor in a television drama in tow, Madden has been trending all over social media.

While we at STYLE can easily see why one might swoon at his pretty face, there’s more to the man than meets the eye.

Check out these five (among many more!) reasons we are big Richard Madden fans.

1. He was Prince Kit in ‘Cinderella’ and loves Disney films

Before Madden took on the hunky bodyguard role which won him his Golden Globe he starred as Prince Kit in the live-action film, Cinderella, opposite Lily James.

While promoting the film, Madden revealed that he was (not so) secretly a Disney fan. Not only does he admit to knowing all the Disney films inside out, but he claims to know all the songs.

His niece reportedly also loved that her uncle was starring as a prince!
