In celebration of the 25th birthday of Kai, who is the main dancer in South Korean-Chinese boy band EXO, here are four qualities that showcase his talent and character.

One of the best dancers in K-pop history always dominates the stage in the group’s music videos. He has also worked hard on improving his rapping and singing skills.
Kai’s solo dance before the closing ceremony of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics affirmed those dancing skills. Dressed in traditional Korean attire, his elegant movements elevated the night of celebrations to a new high.

Kai made his first major front row appearance as South Korea’s representative at Gucci’s Cruise 2019, a spectacular show set in the southern French resort Arles. The K-pop star arrived in a trendy crimson wool checked suit and leather slides, paired with a long red V-neck knit.
Kai was the star of the night, attracting attention from actors in the show as well as those in attendance. Just a few hours into the show, he was the second most popular trending topic on Twitter.
His solo work on the silver screen


EXO’s first confirmed member has been a fixture in the K-pop music industry since 2011.
In 2016, Kai made his acting debut with the lead role in six episodes of Korean web drama, Choco Bank. The overwhelmingly positive response helped the series top viewership figures for the year and helped Kai land the lead in Japanese drama Spring Has Come the following year. This made him the first non-Japanese actor to be cast in a lead role by the station.
