Who wasn’t there at the Da Vinci gala? Watchmaker IWC celebrated the arrival of its Da Vinci collection with a red carpet event, and it was certainly a night for star-spotting.

Rosamund Pike looked effortlessly chic in a strapless black gown, while Vanessa Redgrave shone with quiet confidence in her stunning metallic coat. Celebrities the likes of James Marsden, Olga Kurylenko, Lewis Hamilton, Bolin Chen and Naomie Harris had everyone starstruck, while supermodels Adriana Lima and Karolina Kurkova turned heads everywhere they went.

IWC Schaffhausen CEO Georges Kern reminisces about his tenure at the brand

Even Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger took a break from football to rub shoulders with the rich and famous. Danish singer MØ’s performance was one of the highlights of the evening, and the other came in the form of a holographic show featuring Joseph Mawle from Game of Thrones. The latter was meant to pay homage to Leonardo da Vinci’s passion for science and aesthetics, as well as the deep connection between the two.

I’m thrilled. I signed up and in three days I got more followers on Weibo than I had on Instagram for two years.
