Taiwanese model-turned-actor Greg Hsu joins a long list of celebrity ambassadors for the American designer brand Calvin Klein this summer.
Relatively new to the fame game, the 29-year-old talent is the latest spokesperson for the Greater China region for the Spring/Summer 2020 Jeans collection. With an expanding fan club, his Instagram account has a respectable 734,000 followers, while on Weibo, where the star is far more active, he has over 4 million.

At just 13 years old, Hsu appeared in Jay Chou's Class 3-2 music video. A decade later, he stole hearts with his roles in the hit dramas Love of Sandstorm (2016) and Someday or One Day (2019), triggering his rise to stardom.
In 2011, he took part as a contestant in the reality TV show Finding Mr Right on Taiwan’s Channel V.

Testing his acting chops, he had a challenging role in the 2017 television show Have You Ever Fallen in Love, Miss Jiang? (now available globally on Netflix), and was nominated as best supporting actor for the role at the 52nd Golden Bell Awards, a gala awards night held annually in Taiwan. In the Faro Island Film Festival 2020, he won the audience best new performer award
Triple threat: model, actor and pop star?


Back in 2012, he started out as a pop star, trying his luck in the highly competitive music market, a career path that quickly fizzled. Nevertheless, Hsu has been known to carry a tune and sing at the behest of fans on stage at various venues, so we can hope there's still music-making in his future.

Apart from joining the likes of celebrities Justin Bieber, Nick Jonas, Lay Zhang of Exo, Bonnie Chen and the Kardashian-Jenner clan in representing Calvin Klein, you can watch Hsu in the crime drama miniseries Nowhere Man on Netflix.

In the meantime, the actor is in China, waiting for filming to start up again, after the pandemic put film production on pause globally. His next big outing is the romantic Chinese film On Your Wedding Day with actress Zhang Ruonan, the official remake of the 2018 Korean blockbuster of the same name. In the film, the leading man receives a wedding invitation from his first love whom he met in high school. Memories of young love are rekindled as the film spans the 15-year relationship of the protagonists. There’s been plenty of buzz about the romantic comedy on Weibo as the audience awaits its release post-pandemic.
