The rumour mill has gone into overdrive since Chen’s heartfelt declaration of lifelong love for a mystery girl – but what do we really know about his elusive non-celebrity fiancée?

Just last week, the entertainment industry was shocked by the news from one of Exo’s members, Kim Jong-dae, better known as Chen.

The 27-year-old vocalist announced on Monday that he will marry his unknown girlfriend, prompting widespread rumours about the cause of this sudden decision. Who, then, is this elusive girlfriend? What do we actually know about Chen’s fiancée so far?

She is not a celebrity

As confirmed by SM Entertainment, Chen’s fiancée is not a celebrity or a well-known public figure, and the family has asked the public to respect their privacy.

The wedding will be held in a church, but the exact date, location and other details will not be disclosed. One thing the agency has denied firmly is the news that Chen has already married in secret on January 13.
