‘Tis the season of giving, and a traditional Christmas hamper is the perfect gift if you’re not sure what to wrap up for your loved ones.
City'super is offering three special hampers especially for those looking for luxury gifts, or for those with pet- or party-loving friends.
The luxe Christmas Extravaganza hamper (HK$238,800/US$30,565) has over 50 of the world’s finest wines and delicacies, including a bottle of legendary 1982 Château Lafite-Rothschild, beluga and Almas caviar, and Iberian ham leg.
The limited-edition Pet Lovers hamper (HK$798) contains a Hunter cat toy set for two and a wooden cat hub, while the limited-edition Surprise Box (HK$998) offers items like Japanese party snacks and a personalised bear.
Conrad Cake Shop  offers European surprises, with two customisable Christmas hampers filled with gourmet goodies from around the continent.
The dos and don’ts of Christmas present shopping
In its Conrad Deluxe Hamper (HK$2,088), there are home-made Christmas biscuits and stollen, mousse of goose foie gras, black-truffle olive oil, gold pepper and acacia honey. The Conrad Inspired Hamper (HK$2,888) includes all of the above plus a bottle of Perrier-Jouet champagne.

InterContinental Hong Kong’s Epicurean hamper (HK$3,998) features a two-tiered box filled with savoury European delectables and confectionery like gluten-free truffle pasta, mince pies and clotted-cream shortbread, while its Festive Goodie Basket (HK$2,998) features a round red carry-case of a variety of holiday goodies such as traditional Christmas pudding, Christmas stollen and macaroons.
All proceeds from its New Life Holiday hampers (HK$1,998) will be donated to the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.
InterContinental Grand Stanford  is launching its first Theo Mistral by Theo Randall Christmas Hamper (HK$1,988) with luxurious Italian festive treats hand-picked by celebrity British chef Theo Randall.
Festive delights include a bottle of Bottega Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, a bottle of Bottega Prosecco gold, pasta with truffle, Savini black-truffle paste, panettone, biscuits and a Theo Randall cookbook with autograph.

Mandarin Oriental is offering five elegant hampers – the Limited-edition Hamper (HK$19,888) includes items like 2000 Vintage Krug Champagne, Kristal Caviar Special, chocolate praline logs and a HK$500 Mandarin Oriental Hotel gift card; the Deluxe Gourmet Hamper (HK$4,998) has delicacies like duck rillettes with foie gras, acorn Bellota Iberian chorizo and panettone.
Deck the halls with unusual tree ornaments and Japanese wabi-sabi
The East & West Hamper (HK$3,988) brings together delicacies like smoked salmon and old English chutney, Chinese mushrooms, preserved sausage and bird’s nest.

Renaissance Hong Kong Harbour View hotel is offering three hampers. The Christmas Hamper (HK$1,288) includes Rougie mousse d’oie, truffle oil, Grissol Melba toast, gingerbread man biscuit, and jam.
Its Standard Christmas Hamper (HK$1,688) includes all the delicate items from the Christmas Hamper plus one bottle of
Les Jamelles Syrah 2015, while its Deluxe Christmas Hamper (HK$1,888) features truffle red sauce and a bottle of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut champagne on top of the standard items.

St. Bark’s Dog & Dog Parent Hamper (HK$795) includes alcohol-free “dog beer”, an eco-friendly bandana, and a Toby the teddy toy. For the parents, the hamper features Belgian craft beer, organic tea and salted egg crisps.

Sweet Fashion House’s t hree festive hampers are aptly named – Gold (HK$888), Frankincense (HK$1,888) and Myrrh (HK$2,888). The Myrrh hamper includes gingerbread made in a Christmas-tree shape with caramel spread, coffee panna cotta and almond mousse, a muscat nut sponge cake, macaroons, chocolate truffles, and a bottle of Mumm Cordon Rouge champagne.
