Tracing its roots to 1929, the Ranger welcomes a compact 36mm option and a new ‘Dune white’ dial, while the Northflag returns in a 40mm iteration

Few watchmakers have exploration so deeply woven into their history as Tudor. Its connection to adventure dates back to the 1950s, when Tudor watches accompanied the British North Greenland Expedition into one of the world’s most unforgiving environments. Decades later, that spirit of utility continues to inform Tudor’s approach to the modern tool watch, most recently through the expanded Ranger collection and the return of the Northflag.

The Ranger traces its roots to a name registered by Hans Wilsdorf, founder of Rolex and Tudor, in 1929. Its defining visual language has remained remarkably consistent: a clean dial punctuated by oversized Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12, designed for instant legibility. The contemporary collection refines that utilitarian formula without stripping away its character. Available in the existing 39mm and the new compact 36mm satin-brushed steel cases, the Ranger has an easy versatility that allows it to move between expedition-ready practicality and understated everyday wear.
