Post Malone is someone who’s always been hard to define, whether you’re talking about his genre-blurring music or his approach to collecting luxury watches.
The singer-songwriter, musician and businessman has built a multimillion-dollar fortune over a decade-long career, making him one of the bestselling artists of his generation. In recent years, he has leaned further into pop and country, supporting Taylor Swift on “Fortnight”, teaming up with Morgan Wallen for the chart-topping “I Had Some Help” and embracing Nashville on his country album F-1 Trillion.

His tastes have evolved offstage, too. Earlier in his career, Malone was almost as famous for his extravagance as for his music, flashing diamond-encrusted chains, grills and a luxury watch collection easily worth over US$2.5 million. These days, however, the Richard Milles, Rolexes, Patek Philippes and Audemars Piguets don’t seem to make quite as many public appearances.
That may fit with a broader shift in Malone’s life. After a close call with burglars and a relocation to Los Angeles for a quieter life in Utah, the once relentlessly blinged-out star has embraced a somewhat more low-profile existence. He hasn’t completely lost his taste for expensive collectibles, though: in 2023, he famously paid US$2 million for the ultra-rare Magic: The Gathering One Ring card.
And as for those watches? Malone has said in interviews that he views his collection as investments, some that he could eventually pass down to his children. So while his million-dollar timepieces may not see quite as much daylight these days, there are likely at least a few treasures tucked away in Post Malone’s vault. Here are some of the watches he has collected over the years.
Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea

One of Malone’s earliest luxury watches was a Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea, given to him by his manager Dre London for his 21st birthday. The caseback is engraved with a birthday message to “Austy” (Malone’s real name is Austin), giving this otherwise rugged dive watch plenty of sentimental value. Estimated at around US$15,000, it is among the least expensive timepieces in Malone’s collection, yet one he is likely to never part with.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak

Another watch Malone has said he’ll hold onto forever is an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, a gift from 21 Savage, his collaborator on the 2017 hit “Rockstar”, after the pair toured together in 2019. Malone’s ref. 15400ST is a relatively restrained choice by his standards, pairing the Royal Oak’s signature stainless-steel case and integrated bracelet with a dark black-grey Grande Tapisserie dial, rather than the more coveted blue. It retails for around US$17,000, but as watch fanatics know, a Royal Oak can easily resell for more than US$50,000.
Hublot Techframe Ferrari Tourbillon Chronograph

Malone has a confessed soft spot for Hublot, praising the brand’s “tacticalness” and describing its watches as well suited to everyday life in rugged Salt Lake City. That increasingly outdoorsy, cowboy persona feels fitting for the star raised in Texas, though this particular Hublot probably isn’t the one he takes out on the trails. His rare Techframe Ferrari Tourbillon Chronograph was one of just 70 white gold pieces created with Ferrari to celebrate the carmaker’s 70th anniversary in 2017. Made from 18-karat white gold with sapphire components, the tourbillon chronograph originally cost around US$179,000.
Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Moonphase

This Hublot hints at Malone’s more playful side – fittingly, he wore it while escorting Jimmy Fallon to his first-ever Olive Garden meal for a 2018 The Tonight Show segment, with the pair arriving in a pink stretch limo. Released in 2017, the Spirit of Big Bang Moonphase is an oversized pink explosion for the wrist, pairing a 42mm tonneau-shaped titanium case with an open-worked skeleton movement visible through a translucent pink quartz dial, matching strap and a bezel set with 48 pink sapphires. At around US$20,000, it’s also relatively affordable – at least by Malone’s standards.
Rolex Rainbow Daytona

This is another colourful timepiece that watch spotters love to see in the wild. The Rolex Rainbow Daytona is a kaleidoscopic take on the brand’s legendary chronograph. Its signature feature is a bezel set with 36 baguette-cut sapphires arranged in a rainbow gradient, with more gems decorating the dial and case. With famous collectors including John Mayer and Cristiano Ronaldo, the Rainbow Daytona is hands down one of the most coveted modern Rolexes, notoriously difficult to secure even if you have the cash (upwards of US$350,000 on the secondary market). Malone, who wore this on The Tonight Show in 2019, clearly has both the connections and the funds.
Patek Philippe Nautilus

Another serious grail watch in Malone’s arsenal is the Patek Philippe Nautilus. While just about any Nautilus would qualify as a flex, the musician opted for one of the collection’s biggest statement pieces: the gloriously iced-out ref. 5719/10G, a favourite among VVIP collectors and A-listers, with Mark Wahlberg, Drake and Kylie Jenner also known to own one. Crafted from 18-karat white gold, the watch is smothered in an extraordinary 1,343 diamonds across its case, dial and bracelet. Unsurprisingly, the timepiece comes with a heavy price tag, valued at upwards of US$500,000 on the secondary market.
Richard Mille RM 27-01 Tourbillon Rafael Nadal

If there’s one watchmaker Malone seems to especially love, it might be Richard Mille. He owns at least three of the brand’s famously expensive creations, including the RM 27-01 Tourbillon Rafael Nadal, which he has been spotted wearing everywhere from celebrity birthday parties to playing Magic: The Gathering. Designed for the tennis legend to actually wear on court, the watch features appropriately extreme engineering: weighing less than 19 grams including its strap, it was billed as the world’s lightest tourbillon when released, yet engineered to withstand the immense forces generated during professional play. This supercar of a watch was limited to just 50 pieces and reportedly retailed for around US$740,000.
Richard Mille RM 052 Tourbillon Skull ‘Asia Edition’

Last but certainly not least – in fact, this is handily the ultimate piece. With a seven-figure price tag, Malone’s Richard Mille RM 052 Tourbillon Skull “Asia Edition” is the most expensive watch he has publicly revealed in his collection. Already one of Richard Mille’s most outrageous creations, the Skull takes its macabre motif beyond a stylistic choice: the skull itself forms part of the movement’s architecture, with its jaws cradling the ruby of the tourbillon cage at 6 o’clock and four bridges extending outward like the crossed bones of a pirate flag.
Malone’s all-black version makes an already rare watch even more exclusive. Created specifically for the Asian market, this particular configuration was limited to just six pieces and combines hi-tech materials including black-coated titanium, ceramic, carbon and zirconium. Malone has said he paid US$1 million for his, calling it both his most expensive watch and one of his favourites.
