Vacheron Constantin makes watches that are fit to explore every corner of the globe – and a selection of the finest among them have found their way to our shores, in an exhibition at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum that ran from July 9 to 12.
The “Vacheron Constantin Explore All Ways Possible Exhibition” is an incarnation of the coveted Swiss luxury watchmaker’s theme for 2026, Explore All Ways Possible – informed by a spirit that has long guided the brand and manifested in the form of new additions to its famed sporty-luxe Overseas collection. The star of the show is the new Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points, the realisation of a vision that has been turning heads for nearly a decade now.

These sensational new timepieces were given the perfect framing at the Hong Kong exhibition: not just the azure waters and towering buildings along the city’s unique harbour, but also a stunning selection of illustrations that place the pieces in a variety of vividly recreated landscapes – from city to mountains to desert to ocean – by London-based Shanghainese artist and illustrator Shan Jiang.

Since its founding in Geneva in 1755, Vacheron Constantin has always embodied the endless pursuit of excellence. It’s a vision best summed up in the words of François Constantin in 1819: “Do better if possible, and that is always possible.” This mission was first expressed through luxury sports watches in the 1970s, but the maison’s offering in that regard really kicked into high gear with the introduction of the Overseas collection in the mid-1990s.

While the collection underwent significant design evolutions over the following two decades, it remains identifiably the same watch, with its sleekly integrated bracelet and notched bezel recalling Vacheron Constantin’s instantly recognisable Maltese cross logo.

Both of those are present and correct on the new Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points, which took pride of place at the Hong Kong exhibition. The fascinating quirk of this particular iteration of the collection is that it comes in four colour schemes, each representing one of the four cardinal compass points: white for north, blue for east, brown for south, and green for west.
All four are made entirely from titanium, with a 41mm case and a matt anthracite grey finish on the bezel, crown and pusher ring. They’re powered by in-house Calibre 5110 DT/3, which comes complete with time zone and AM/PM functions, both indicated with orange hands. Each model comes with two rubber straps – one in the same colour as the watch and one in orange – as well as a titanium bracelet.

The Overseas Dual Time was first introduced as a prototype in 2018, when it was famously worn by legendary adventurer and photographer Cory Richards during his unforgettable attempt to blaze the ultimate mountaineering trail with a new route up Everest. His daring journey helped birth the limited edition Overseas Everest watches in 2021, an inspiration the brand is revisiting with this year’s Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points.
The exhibition at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum also fittingly pays tribute to the epic explorations of this one-of-a-kind pioneer – honouring both the environment that inspires the Overseas collection and the daredevil feats of the people who conquer it.
