Is there a more fitting way to celebrate the Year of the Horse than with a special edition timepiece? Luxury watchmakers, from Vacheron Constantin to Longines, have pulled out all the stops by releasing their own creative interpretations inspired by this year’s Chinese zodiac, which is believed to bring forth action, progress and forward momentum.
Vacheron Constantin

Vacheron Constantin’s Métiers d’Art The Legend of the Chinese Zodiac – Year of the Horse watch comes in two 25-piece limited edition styles: pink gold and platinum. The dial features an exquisite depiction of a horse leaping over a rocky base.
Longines

Longines’ Master Collection Year of the Horse watch is limited to 2026 pieces for the new calendar year. The special edition model sports a gradient dial, a moonphase display at 6 o’clock and an engraved horse motif on the gilt rotor – the image is derived from Chinese artist Peon Xu’s Galloping Horse painting.
Jaeger-LeCoultre

Jaeger-LeCoultre has introduced four designs to mark the Horse Year, including this – the Reverso Tribute Enamel Horse watch in pink gold – which displays the time indication on one side and a hand-engraved illustration of a horse emerging from a billow of clouds on the caseback. It has an interchangeable alligator strap.
IWC Schaffhausen

This Portugieser Automatic 42 Year of the Horse timepiece from Swiss watchmaking group IWC Schaffhausen has a stainless steel case and a burgundy dial for added luck and prosperity. The gold-plated oscillating mass is also modelled after the shape of a galloping horse.
