The Spanish athlete is a Rolex man through and through – his collection features a Cosmograph Daytona with a meteorite dial and other coveted pieces

Fresh off his latest US Open triumph, Carlos Alcaraz has once again proven why he’s one of the brightest young stars in tennis right now. The 22-year-old Spanish player beat his long-time rival Jannik Sinner on September 7, a reversal of fortunes after Sinner’s Wimbledon victory this summer.

Alcaraz’s win also took his career prize money past the US$50 million mark, putting him among a select handful of tennis’ highest earners.

Not that he needs the winnings to indulge in a luxury watch. As he lifted the US Open trophy, eagle-eyed watch-spotters noted that the champion was wearing a Rolex – unsurprising given the Swiss watchmaker signed him as a brand ambassador in 2022.

He may be young, but Alcaraz’s Rolex line-up is already the stuff of dreams; his affiliation with the brand has produced a small collection of head-turning timepieces that rival players twice his age. Here are some of the highlights.

The Tiffany blue watch trend is everywhere right now, and every self-respecting collector – Lionel Messi included – seems to be in on it. Rolex wasn’t about to sit this one out. Earlier this year, the brand introduced the Cosmograph Daytona (ref. 126518LN), crafted in yellow gold with a black ceramic bezel, black chronograph counters, and a striking turquoise dial, paired with a sporty black rubber strap.

It’s an eye-catching combination of colours and materials that manages to feel both sporty and luxurious. Unsurprisingly, Carlitos is a fan. He’s been spotted wearing this highly sought-after piece on some of the game’s biggest stages, including the winners’ podium at both the US Open and the French Open this summer. We can’t blame him – we’d flaunt this turquoise treasure at every chance too.

This watch sticks with the “rubber strap” aesthetic – although to be more precise, it’s Oysterflex. The strap is actually a proprietary hybrid construction: a flexible titanium-nickel alloy blade inside, overmoulded with black elastomer (but let’s be honest, “rubber strap” rolls off the tongue much easier).
