4 jewellery highlights for November: Elle Fanning fronts Cartier’s release, with Van Cleef & Arpels’ Alhambra pieces and Omega Constellation watches adding to the buzz
Elhanati’s tie-up with Argentinian designer Conie Vallese delivers Gothic-style cutlery in gold, silver and black diamonds – quite the contrast with the dainty work in the Van Cleef & Arpels collection
This autumn, clear headlines include Cartier bringing back a classic in its Grain de Café collection – exquisite beans wrought in gold and diamonds – while Van Cleef & Arpels revisit their Alhambra collection once more, this time adding a striking blue agate to the pieces.
1. Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra collection
From mother-of-pearl to onyx, Van Cleef & Arpels’ signature Alhambra motif jewellery comes in a wide range of ornamental stones that make this dainty, good luck charm always a treasure to behold. One of the most coveted stones in the range is the blue agate, which the maison has combined this year with yellow gold in a series of pieces including the Sweet Alhambra watch and Vintage Alhambra reversible ring.
2. Omega Constellation watches
Watchmaking and jewellery come together in Omega’s famous Constellation timepieces. Recently, the Swiss watchmaker introduced a series of models embellished with a swirling pattern on their dials, created using electrochemical etching and laser engraving. We’re especially partial to the diamond-encrusted gold versions.
