Season three of The Summer I Turned Pretty has finally come to a close, as protagonist Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) said “Bonjour” to new friends in Paris, ready to navigate new adventures in the French capital, while also finding closure with her ex-fiancé Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) and love at last with his older brother, Conrad (Christopher Briney). With songs pulled from the soundtrack of Amélie, the quintessential French romcom, and even a Serge Gainsbourg feature, the final three episodes this season proved to be an advertisement for the City of Love.

While Prime Video has just confirmed that a The Summer I Turned Pretty movie is now in the works, no release date has been announced, meaning we just might have to put season three on repeat for the time being. Not ready for the magic of this season to end? Us too, which is why we’ve bookmarked all the places Belly visits during her time in Paris for future reference.

Belly, queen of impulsive decisions, takes off for Paris immediately after her wedding to Jeremiah is cancelled. Unfortunately for her, the study abroad programme she thought she could get a last-minute spot for made an administrative error, leaving Belly stranded in a foreign country with no immediate plan for the future.

As she tearfully calls her mum, Laurel (Jackie Chung) with a plea for help, she walks past L’enclos de Ninon tea room, located in the fifth arrondissement on the city’s Left Bank, before settling down at Le Descartes brasserie across the street for some food.

What’s a trip to Paris without navigating the complex network of the Paris Metro? Belly looks lost as she sits defeated in the Censier-Daubenton metro station after losing her backpack to a pick-pocketer and attempting to chase the thief down (all thanks to AirTag).

Canal Saint-Martin

When we catch up with Belly at the beginning of episode 10, she’s already managed to struggle her way through three months in Paris, living with several unnamed but comical roommates in an untamed apartment along the Canal Saint-Martin where everything seems to be broken or leaking.
