Christmas

From traditional grottos and Christmas markets to mulled wine and ‘Globescope’ – a light and sound experience by French artist Maxime Houot – Hong Kong’s malls are getting into the festive spirit this winter, but where is the couples-friendly tunnel of love and ‘Lovers’ Confession Booth’?

Visiting the Christmas display at a favourite shopping mall should be part of any Hongkonger’s festive calendar. Not only do these malls pull out all the stops with their trees hung with bright baubles and twinkling tinsel, but they also offer many programmes, events and special offers that often run into the new year.

In addition to a dramatic tinsel tree transformation of the Opera Theatre at K11 Musea this Christmas, a “Santa Muse Parade” is also planned. The parade will feature an all-singing, all-dancing ensemble of rollerbladers, drummers, musicians and others.
