Espadrilles are a no-brainer for summer. In effect a laid-back, warm weather loafer, they are literally a breeze to wear and transition so easily from daytime errands (What? The beach again?) to sunset cocktails. Did we mention that they are incredibly easy to pack, too? Here are four of our favourite espadrilles to slide into this summer.
Missoni

Missoni’s espadrilles (US$475) are the quintessential holiday shoe. This pair has been crafted in Spain and woven with the Italian label’s signature zigzag pattern in rainbow hues.
Prada

Available at Mytheresa, these Prada espadrilles (US$1,430) have a braided jute rope sole and crochet uppers with distinct navy and beige stripes. They are an excellent choice for casual brunches and summer strolls.
Manolo Blahnik

Espadra espadrilles (US$735) by Manolo Blahnik are truly versatile – they’ll go with everything from elegant linen suits to floaty dresses. They’re woven from raffia and trimmed with buttery soft lambskin.
Brunello Cucinelli

These Brunello Cucinelli espadrilles (US$1,350) are a little more sophisticated than slides or flip-flops – the pair features suede panels and laser-cut leather to keep the wearer cool at all times. Available at Net-a-Porter.
