Known as the Hollywood of the East, Hong Kong has been home to film stars who are well-known across Asia and the globe, such as Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, Chow Yun-Fat and more. Avenue of Stars is the city’s answer to the “Hollywood Walk of Fame” in Los Angeles.

The promenade, set against the city’s iconic skyline, opened in 2004 and honours the most celebrated names in Hong Kong pop culture. Carved at the waterfront location in Tsim Sha Tsui are celebrity handprints from hundreds of stars, including Tony Leung, who recently received the Venice Film Festival’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, martial arts legend Chan and others.

The location also immortalises industry darlings like Lee and Anita Mui with bronze statues.

The Avenue of Stars reopened in January 2019 after being closed to the public for more than three years of renovation works.

Williams was involved in the selection of Hong Kong as the location for this show, which will be Louis Vuitton’s first in the city. Notably, it is the brand’s first-ever men’s pre-fall show and men’s destination show, and Pharrell’s first pre-fall collection.
