Why Louis Vuitton’s Hong Kong fashion show is at Avenue of Stars: where else would Pharrell’s pre-fall menswear show take place other than at the city’s answer to Hollywood’s Walk of Fame?
- Pharrell Williams debuted his first collection as the luxury brand’s men’s creative director at Paris Fashion Week before the likes of Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Beyoncé and Jay-Z
- Now Louis Vuitton is presenting its first menswear pre-fall runway show on November 30 at an ideal location amid handprints from Hong Kong icons Michelle Yeoh, Tony Leung and Jackie Chan

Known as the Hollywood of the East, Hong Kong has been home to film stars who are well-known across Asia and the globe, such as Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, Chow Yun-Fat and more. Avenue of Stars is the city’s answer to the “Hollywood Walk of Fame” in Los Angeles.
The location also immortalises industry darlings like Lee and Anita Mui with bronze statues.
The Avenue of Stars reopened in January 2019 after being closed to the public for more than three years of renovation works.
Williams was involved in the selection of Hong Kong as the location for this show, which will be Louis Vuitton’s first in the city. Notably, it is the brand’s first-ever men’s pre-fall show and men’s destination show, and Pharrell’s first pre-fall collection.
