Kim Kardashian’s 12-year-old daughter, North West, made a bold fashion statement during a recent dinner in Rome following their family trip to Cabo. She turned heads in a striking black corset paired with a pleated denim miniskirt, a heart-shaped handbag, and chunky platform boots for a goth-inspired look.
With her electric blue hair styled in two ponytails – a new look the tween debuted in June – West confidently carved out her own fashion identity on the streets alongside her mother, Kardashian, 44, who wore a sheer slip dress with a black lace bra.

However, West’s corset look drew mixed reactions on social media. While one person wrote, “If you find anything inappropriate about this outfit, you need to be in therapy!”, another wrote, “Not a fan of a bustier on a 12-year-old.” Another added, “Kim, she is 12 …” Many netizens blamed Kardashian for dressing West too maturely and in a way that lacks “innocence”.
However, West has rarely worn such a fitted, structured piece. Previously, she has opted for loose-fitting clothes while still showcasing a maximalist style. West spoke to Interview magazine about her favourite style last year, saying, “I like streetwear and the 90s. Tyler the Creator; my dad; me!”

The day after the dinner, West once again stole the spotlight while out in Rome with her mother. She wore her waist-length electric blue hair in waves, perfectly matching her all-blue denim outfit. She paired her eye-catching chunky white high-top Isabel Marant trainers with frilly polka dot socks. Adding a touch of luxe, West carried a shimmering silver Balenciaga purse and wore a crystal-encrusted Vivienne Westwood Orb necklace. She finished her look with classic black tights and a pair of square transparent glasses, balancing sophistication with playful charm.

Earlier this month, West stepped out with her cousin Penelope Disick in New York while showcasing her love for bold, nostalgic streetwear. She wore a black graphic T-shirt, oversized camo Bermuda shorts and black high-top trainers. She also styled her then almost floor-length, electric blue hair in multiple braids.

This July, West went punk while out and about. She looked edgy and cool in a loose black T-shirt and a short bubbled denim skirt. Her accessories included a striking long silver necklace, a black studded handbag, and black cat-eye sunglasses.

A year ago, West was spotted in Midtown Manhattan wearing a black mesh jersey over a white shirt. She styled it with camouflage-print shorts, Nike socks, and a pair of Nike Travis Scott x Dunk Low Premium QS SB “Cactus Jack” trainers – a collaboration between the brand and Travis Scott, the ex of West’s aunt Kylie Jenner. She topped off the look with a black Prada Re-Nylon hat. She also carried her adorable puppy, Sushi.

West made a striking impression as she accompanied her mum to the 2023 Met Gala’s red carpet. (She was too young to attend the event itself.) She showed up in a pale pink tweed Chanel blazer paired with loose jeans, pearls and a shell-shaped clutch from Chanel’s spring 2012 collection.

The day before the 2023 Met Gala, West was seen in New York wearing a leather short-sleeve button-up with black ripped pants and a Chanel bag. She tied some of her long hair in a high ponytail and wore black moto-style sunglasses.

West rocked her signature grunge style as she attended the 51st Balenciaga haute couture show alongside her mother, who made her modelling debut at Paris Haute Couture Week, in 2022. She sported a Balenciaga Speed Hunters sweatshirt paired with distressed denim jeans layered over sweatpants, and completed the look with Balenciaga Hardcrocs shoes. Finally, she accessorised with black sunglasses, two thick necklaces – one of which spelled her name – and a mini purse in her hand.

During Paris Haute Couture Week in 2022, West also appeared in a coordinated pinstripe vest and skirt set, styling it with a white button-up shirt and a black tie. She paired the look with knee-high combat boots and a faux nose ring with a chain.
