Streep, Hathaway and Emily Blunt are reprising their roles, and we’ve spotted them in Gabriela Hearst, Dior and more
There are few films noughties fashion fanatics love more than The Devil Wears Prada. From Meryl Streep’s icy Anna Wintour-inspired Miranda Priestly to Anne Hathaway’s awkward fashion outsider Andy Sachs – the 2006 comedy-drama sometimes dismissed as a “chick-flick” offered a rare female-focused plot line where the lead characters unapologetically put their ambitions and careers first, even if it meant dumping their unsupportive and whiny boyfriends (bye, Nate!)
Nearly two decades later, filming for the much-loved fashion film’s sequel is under way, with the movie’s star-studded cast including Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci all reprising their roles.
Set to premiere in the United States on May 1 next year, the movie has already given us several noteworthy fashion moments thanks to photos of the cast filming on the streets of New York. Here are some of our favourite looks from The Devil Wears Prada2.

While not a look from the new movie itself, we have to start with this video Anne Hathaway posted on TikTok in July of her brushing her teeth while wearing a very familiar blue jumper – a reference to the memorable “cerulean blue” monologue by Streep in the first film. “Heading to werk #dwp2,” the 42-year-old actress captioned her video.

On set, Hathaway wears a white shirt paired with a pleated khaki skirt by Sacai, and Gabriela Hearst heels. She accessorised with Oliver Goldsmith sunglasses and a Jemma Wynne diamond pendant necklace.

A glimpse of Emily Blunt reprising her role as Miranda’s faithful assistant, Emily. She is wearing a bustier top by Wiederhoeft, with a pinstripe corset and wide-leg trousers by Jean Paul Gaultier, over a white Dior shirt. The outfit is paired with Dior’s D-Journey bag and a pair of black sunnies.

Hathaway’s Andy looks relaxed in this fit featuring a brown suede jacket by Ralph Lauren, Levi’s jeans, and a pair of snake-print Zadig & Voltaire boots. She paired the academia-inspired look with a blue silk scarf by Sabina Savage and a Valentino Garavani suede fringed shoulder bag.
